FAQ

Q: Are you a 501(3)(c) organization?

A: At this time we are not a 501(c)3 organization, however; we are a recognized

nonprofit charity. The primary difference in the two is 501(c)3 donations are tax

deductable. We believe if someone wants to give from the heart they will not

expect "fringe benefits."  501(c)3 organizations can bank, save, and invest

millions of dollars. You might be surprized to learn what major corporations

are 501(c)3. Our entire staff is made up of volunteers, and since we are a

nonprofit charity, we do not fund memberships in other programs nor have we

set aside funds to become a 501(c)3 Becoming a 501(c)3 would be a major

expense for us right now, not to mention the extra paperwork involved each

day, week, month, quarter, and annually. Frugality is extremely important to

    nonprofit entities such as ours.

Q: What are the personal benefits of making a donation since you are not a 501(3)(c)?

A: Your personal benefits from making a charitable donation/contribution to us are

immeasureable from our perspective. If you require a tax benefit to make a

donation to us, you may do so in the form of an advertisement. We will place a

banner ad or link to your website on our "Advertiser's page" and drive traffic to

your site/business. It will be the least expensive advertising you will find. Our site

is hit numerous times a day through search engines such as AOL, Google, Yahoo,

and others. This means potential customers or clients that might not otherwise find

you can instantly gain access to your site through our page.

Q: What will my donation provide?

A: Donations help provide shelter, fresh quality feed, medicine, vaccinations,

fly spray, fresh bedding, safe saddlery and tack, lead ropes,  indoor water for

drinking, sanitizing, bathing horses, and restrooms, gas for heating hot water,

clean blankets, vet and farrier services, transportation for horses, and more.

Q: Where do you get your horses?

A: We recieve all our horses from donor homes that can no longer care for them,
manage the financial responsibility for them, maintain them, or no longer have
room for them. None of our horses are purchased commercially.

Q: Don't people care about their horses?

A: Most definitely! Many of our horse donors have very sentimental attachments to
their companion horses, but for reasons beyond their control can no longer
     manage to keep them.

Q: Why do horse owners choose A Home 4 Horses?

A: Our horse donors do not qualify for assistance from equine rescue associations

and do not want to sell their beloved companion into a life of slavery and uncertaintity.

Horse owners want to know their companions will have a safe, permanent, and loving

home. A Home 4 horses is not a resale facility.

Q: What is the best way to contact A Home 4 Horses

A: We are often away from the phone caring for our horses or involved in a progra
but we will respond promptly to all messages left on our answering service. Yo
can also e-mail us. We make every efort to respond to all messages withi
     24 hours.

 Q: How can I help?

A: We need volunteers, feed, treats, medicine, dewormers, grooming supplies
and anything else the average horse barn requires. Donations can be "in kind" or
by check. Also, if you would like to use your credit card to purchase feed and supplies,
